Abstract/Citation: An Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs to specify conditions of eligibility for a domestic service agency license and various other matter concerning the application of Legislative Decree No.40, 1992. Licensed agents are responsible for bringing domestic servants to Kuwait (usually from Asia) under a contract concluded with the prospective employer. The employer must pay the agency's commission and the servant's travel expenses, but if he is dissatisfied, the servant is repatriated at the agent's expense. Two model contracts are published at the end of the Order: the first is the contract of agency and the second, a contract of employment to be concluded between the employer and the servant. However, it is unclear whether these contracts are an integral part of the Order.
