    The training aims to review mediation mechanisms to optimize all channels of the dispute settlement mechanism in Indonesia.

  4. Training on GBV/Workplace Harassment

    28 - 30 October 2022

    The All Pakistan Women Association conducted a three days training on Gender Based Violence and Workplace Harassment. More than 30 females participated and actively engaged in the participative training, which was facilitated by APWA trainers. Mr. Razi Haider, National Project Coordinator of the Japan funded PRS/STRIDE Project also briefed the participants about the ILO convention C-190

    A Study Tour to the UK is conducted to allow four polytechnic partners to spend two weeks at their corresponding partner institutions, with intensive programmes designed to provide intensive institutional knowledge sharing.

    In October, the Mongolian Employers' Federation (MONEF) arranged a series of six training sessions on the responsibilities of employers in fostering a safe and respectful workplace free from harassment and violence. The events were organised in the framework of the "Trade for Decent Work" project, funded by the European Union.

  1. Eighth Technical Meeting of Focal Points on International Labour Migration Statistics in ASEAN

    The International Labour Organization (ILO) holds the Eighth Technical Meeting of Focal Points on International Labour Migration Statistics in ASEAN on 29 and 30 September 2022. The meeting is supported by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) through the ILO's TRIANGLE in ASEAN programme.

  2. Interactive Discussion and Launch of Workers' Survey on Violence and Harassment at Work

  3. Improving recruitment regulation and monitoring mechanisms in the ASEAN region

    Recruitment regulatory officials from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines participated in the training on “Achieving Fair and Ethical Recruitment: Improving Regulation and Enforcement in the ASEAN Region” held on 27-29 September 2022 in Pasig City, Philippines.

  4. Launch of the 2022 edition of the International Journal of Labour Research

    26 September 2022

    The ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV) will organize a high-level launch of the International Journal of Labour Research on 26th September 2022 at 13:30 (CET-Geneva time). "Trade Union Revitalization: Organizing new forms of work including platform workers" will be launched during a panel discussions which will bring together authors, researchers , academics, ILO representatives and leaders from trade union movement.

  5. Joint Fishing Inspection Pilots

    22 - 27 September 2022

    Through this initiative, the ILO Accelerator Lab 8.7 programme (AL) aims to provide as series of knowledge sharing and technical meeting sessions to improve existing labour inspection model including on-site training simulation to conduct on board labour inspection in fishing vessels.

As a result, 2.6 million workers lost their jobs and 24 million workers suffered from cuts in hours of work and wages due to the pandemic.

  9. Training seminars across Mongolia to strengthen Labour Law compliance

    The General Agency for Specialized Investigation (GASI) conducts training seminars for 540 employers and employees in close partnership with the ILO social partners in the framework of the "SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia" project, funded by the European Union.

  10. The Closing Ceremony and Interactive Discussion: Indonesia's Business and Workers Survive COVID-19 Pandemic through Strengthened OSH Management System

    The International Labour Organization (ILO), together with the Ministry of Manpower and the Government of Japan, have joined forces in restoring the employment situation by strengthening the occupational safety and health (OSH) management system at the company level to ensure business sustainability and the protection of workers. The other goal is to build positive OSH culture for the creation of a safe and healthy working environment nationwide.
