  1. ILO social partners from Mongolia advance their knowledge on Gender, Inclusion and the Future of Work in Bangkok

    A global event "Gender, Inclusion and the Future of Work" took place in Bangkok, Thailand from November 28 to December 2 in 2022, coinciding with global initiative, 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

    Launch of the ILO Technological Change at the workplace resource package

    28 - 30 November 2022

    The meeting aims to present and discuss among trade unions, experts and ILO officials the impact of technological advancements on workplaces.

  3. 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence 2022

    25 November - 10 December 2022

    The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is an international initiative that takes place between 25 November and 10 December, starting with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ending with Human Rights Day. The primary goal of the campaign is to raise awareness and engage the public in ending GBV and other harmful practices against women and girls.

    Launching of ILO Report on Care at Work: Investing Care Leave Policies and Services for a More Gender Equal World of Work

    The ILO report Care at Work: Investing in Care Leave Policies and Care Services for a More Gender-Equal World of Work provides a global overview of national laws and practices regarding care policies, namely maternity protection, paternity, parental and other care-related leave policies, as well as childcare and long-term care services.

    Capacity Building and Knowledge Tour on Green Jobs and Just Transition for Government and Farmer Communities in Thailand

    24 - 26 November 2022

    This workshop will build the capacity of local government, SMEs and farmers’ communities on promoting Green Jobs and Just Transition in sustainable agriculture sector through institutional strengthening and social dialogue. It will also introduce the Just Transition guidelines and its application and advise on local income generation/Green Jobs opportunities as well as skills needs for sustainable agriculture based on the findings of the ILO Green Jobs assessment and case study analysis.

  6. Extending social health protection to informal sector workers in India: A survey report

    The survey report on extending social health protection to informal sector workers in India is an outcome of ILO-supported ESIC project. The purpose of this project is to strengthen its health services while increasing coverage and financial protection of working people in India.

    As the ILO-Sida Decent Work in Garment Supply Chains Asia project comes to a close, it is organizing a final regional workshop to bring stakeholders together, reflect on results and progress, and discuss ways forward for supporting a better future of work in the Asian garment sector.

  10. Just Transition in the Textile and Garment Sector in China - International Summit and Capacity Building Workshop on Green Development and Responsible Transformation of Sustainable Fashion Industry

    17 November 2022

    This workshop will build the capacity of local government and industrial players on Just Transition planning in the textile and garment sector. The workshop will introduce the Just Transition guidelines and its application (through the Just Transition Toolkit) and analyze the specific opportunities for social dialogue and accelerated action by government, enterprises, workers and communities for a just and green transition.

  11. Employers are trained on the application of the newly revised Labour Law (2021)

    15 November 2022

    The Mongolian Employers' Federation (MONEF) organised a series of training workshops for employers, human resource managers and legal officers of the textile, energy, mining, construction and road and transport sectors to improve labour law compliance at the enterprise level with the support of the "SDG Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia" project funded by the European Union and implemented by the UNDP, FAO and ILO.

  12. Tripartite Regional Meeting on Social Protection and Formalization

    15 - 16 November 2022

    The event will discuss latest developments, challenges and opportunities for Asia and Pacific to deliver on the objective of achieving universal and integrated strategies to promote formalization as a way to promote decent work and achieve social justice.

  13. Validation Workshop for Second (2nd) Master Plan on Occupational Safety and Health

    14 - 30 November 2022

    The ILO - Japan Enhancing Occupational Safety and Health Standards in Construction Sector in Cambodia and Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training will be held Validation Workshop for Second (2nd) Master Plan on Occupational Safety and Health and Consultative Workshop for Third (3rd) Master Plan on Occupational Safety and Health (2023‐2027) on 24 November 2022 at Sunway Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

  14. Construction workers discuss to further improve working conditions in high-risk sectors in Mongolia

    11 November 2022

    The Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU) organised a tripartite consultation meeting to discuss the monitoring findings of the implementation of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health. The aim of the consultation is to improve informed decision-making and working conditions in the construction sector. The workshop is organized under the SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia.

  17. DWYN members discuss strategies to accelerate their efforts towards decent work for youth in Mongolia

    Decent Work for Youth Network member organizations have gathered for a strategic meeting organized as part of the “SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia” project, funded by the European Union.

  18. The First Annual Meeting of South-South Cooperation Skill Development was Organized in Lao People's Democratic Republic

    3 - 4 November 2022

    ILO-China Partnership Programme and Skill Development Institute of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Lao People's Democratic Republic co-organized the first Annual meeting for the South-South Cooperation Skill Development Network.

    A two-day workshop on youth rights at work was recently held in Ulaanbataar as part of the “SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia” project, funded by the European Union.
