Over 20,000 vacancies offered at National Career and Productivity Fair 2022

With support from ILO-China Partnership Programme, the National Employment Agency (NEA) of Cambodia has organized a National Career and Productivity Fair


Which aims to promote the employability and job opportunities for current and future of supply and demand in the labour market to all stakeholders, especially to employers and job seekers as well as to provide both visual and virtual platform for employers, training providers, and job seekers to meet and discuss the current and near-future employment and skills development opportunities.
 

H.E Pich Sophorn, Minister Delegate attached to Prime Ministry and Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, said that the fair was only possible thanks to the government’s excellent work in bringing the Covid-19 pandemic under control. This event is an opportunity for employers, education providers, job seekers, and investors to meet and share experiences, as well as to apply for jobs.
 
Mr. Liu Yutong, ILO-China Partnership Programme Manager, said that investment in education, jobs, productivity and skills, including green skills and digital skills helps develop an economy towards higher value-added activities and dynamic growth sectors. Skills are critical in the structural adjustment of economies.

The two-day National Career and Productivity Fair attracted more than 30,000 participants who could fill out application forms for jobs over 20,000 vacancies from 150 counters of well-known enterprises that have been set up for the fairs. Some of the industries on display include banking, microfinance, insurance, retail and wholesale, tourism and hospitality, real estate, construction, telecommunications, and information technology.
