  2. Dealing with Labour Issues in Export Supply Chains – Labour Rights and CSR – The Case of Thailand.

    03 May 2012

    Jointly organized by the ILO-IPEC programme and ECOT, the meeting will be an opportunity to provide better understanding of labour and human rights issues in supply chains as well as proactive approaches to address these issues in industry and businesses in Thailand. The half-day meeting is par of a partnership between the ILO and the Royal Thai Government to work on the issues of child labour, forced labour and improvements of working conditions and competitiveness of businesses in Thailand.

  3. Youth Employment in Asia and the Pacific

    As a lead-up to the Youth Employment Forum to be held in Geneva, 23-25 May 2012, many activities were held globally to highlight youth employment issues. Thirteen countries in Asia and the Pacific are organizing various activities to raise awareness on the importance of youth employment.

    Saphan Siang (Bridge of Voices) aims to start a movement among Thai youth to highlight the positive contribution that migrants make to the Thai economy and society. This photo competition and exhibition aims to highlight the way that migrants make their lives better.
