    The Free State SME Development Initiative is a partnership between the Free State Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Detea), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), and Flanders International Cooperation Agency (FICA). The goals of the Free State SME Development Initiative are to promote employment creation through Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development. An important goal of the project is to contribute to the creation of a more conducive policy, legal and regulatory framework for the start-up and operations of SME in the Free State Province.
