National Institute of Social Action convenes second National Planning Meeting with ILO support

With the support of ILO through the Joint United Nations Programme on Social Protection 2022-2023 (funded by the Embassies of Sweden and Finland), the National Institute for Social Action (INAS) is organizing the second edition of its National Planning Meeting, which is taking place in the district of Boane from 5 to 7 April 2022.

This meeting focuses on the cycles of planning, budgeting, collection and processing of statistical data, and monitoring and evaluation for social protection. Several discussion topics are foreseen, including a review of progress made and existing challenges in the implementation of basic social security programmes administered by INAS, a discussion on the results of the monitoring visits carried out in 2021 in the format of "spot checks", and technical capacity building activities.

Spearheaded by the Department of Planning and Statistics of INAS, the event has about 50 participants, including 31 Heads of Planning and Statistics of the Delegations and 14 technicians of the Central Body of INAS.
